La verdad es que el titulo de la pelicula y la peli en sí fueron bastante ilustrativos (aunque ya la halla visto varias veces) y me hizo pensar en varias cosas, además el titulo venía de perlas, pues es lo mismo que le acababa de pasar al Vintage. Vintage va a sufrir un profundo cambio con la restricción de Gifts Ungiven. Vintage ya ha sufrido un Impacto muy Profundo que cambiara el entorno completamente, y lo veremos en las proximas semanas con mayor claridad.
El UAL Power 9 Series va a ser uno de los eventos con más variedad de mazos en los últimos meses. Esto esta favorecido por el hecho de la restricción de Gifts y el ehcho de que los cambios sean oficialmente efectivos el día 20 de Junio, lo cual hará que sea el primer torneo grande a nivel mundial con la Nueva Lista de Prohibidas y Restringidas.

Para los que no lo sepan traducir, dice: "El cielo y la Tierra estan a punto de colisionar"
Nada más cercano a la realidad. Si ponemos que la tierra son las Workshop Decks y las estrategias de combo representan el cielo, es en definitiva lo que va a ocurrir. Gifts era el mazo que se encontraba separando la lucha entre ambas estretegias, el estilo combo-control de Gifts se enfrentaba con fuerza contra los mazos de combo y de Workshops, mientras trataba de defenderse como podia de estretegias preparadas ara ganarla, como Fish Decks. A última hora apareció por allí Almost Blue, un mazo con emparejamientos razonables contra los anteriores mazos, pero que destruia a Gifts.
Creo que la siguiente imagen representa con claridad a lo que me refiero:
Por ahi tambien pululaban las recien nacidas Ichorid que destruian con bastante facilidad a Gifts, tal como a todos los demás mazos que no llevaran mucho banquillo contra ellos. Y a la derecha del padre se encuentran Fish y Oath, la primera con un pariring mas que favorable contra Combo y Drain Decks, la segunda con algo peor el pairing, pero con un emparejamiento razonable contra todos los demas mazos.
Y entonces apareció la DCI para dar el hachazo a los Gifts. Sus objetivos, restringir una carta desproporcionadamente buena, que servia como tutor. Sus logros, hacer desaparecer del entorno un mazo dominante, no por ser exageradamente bueno ni imparable, sino porque tenía respuestas practicamente contra todo, y además de eso, pegarle un buen meneo al Vintage.
Yo estoy completamente seguro de que restringir Gifts Ungiven es un error, casi tan grave como desrestringir Gush. Gifts se presentaba como la única alternativa controlera ante el fluidisimo y novedoso entorno que ya por si solo iba a aparecer, en forma de Rector Flash, Manaless Ichorid, Almost Blue y Flash Hulk.
Gifts no parecia que fuera a continuar como un mazo completamente dominante, al menos no sin pasarlo mal. No podía protegerse de la avalancha de mazos que se venian encima con facilidad, eso lo tengo clarisimo.
El resultado es que el entorno a simple vista, y sin la aparicion y renacimiento de antiguos mazos se queda demasiado combero a mi parecer. Manaless Ichorid es practicamente combo, Flash Hulk y Rector ya han triunfado en Cataluña, Las Long Variants van a poder tirar de su recien adquirido Pacto de Negacion, al igual que TPS. Las Workshop y las Fish lo van a tener que hacer muy bien para pararlas, tras la desaparición de Gifts las Workshop podrán volver al antiguo canon, más prisionero (Estilo Monobrown) o más agresivo (Estilo 5/3). Fish tendra que trabajarlo muchisimo, y olvidarse de contolar las partidas a medio plazo, que los Flash caen de primer y segundo turno. Almost Blue pierde el buque insignia que resultaba ser su muy favorecedor emparejamiento contra Gifts y se queda en un entorno en el que no tiene (a simple vista) ningun emparejamiento ni favorable ni desfavorable. En cuanto a Oath...Bueno, a Oath le da igual todo, solo se trata de bajar el encantamiento verde y ponerle una ficha aguantando dos turnitos.
¿Que conseguirá hacer Bomberman en este entorno? Parece que el Aven Mindcensor comenzaba a dar grandes resultados, pero cuando todo el mundo ya lo decia, que el Aven destruia cada Gifts del oponente, desaparecen del mapa, seguiran siendo buenos?
Pero algunos renacen como el Fenix de sus propias cenizas. Vuelve Control-Slaver!! Vuelve GroATog!!! Pueden incluso volver 5/3, Monoblack y Turboland!!!
Y ahora lo que hacemos es que nos encontramos con un entorno completamente descontrolado, nadie sabe que jugara ni que triunfará, pero el Power9 Series lo dirá todo. Mientras tanto y a 23 días del evento os dejo listas de todos los arquetipos para que gozeis con ellas y os vayais haciendo a la idea de que podreis jugar.
